1981

IN THE BEGINNING

Our story began in 1981 when Mr Lien Van Chieu came to Scandinavia. Shortly after his arrival he quickly understood the lack and scarcity of Asian food products. Looking to solve a common problem amongst family and friends, Mr Lien Van Chieu quickly took matters into his own hands. Fully determined to fill this void, he bought a Honda van without hesitation. He made several tours to Paris, France and had it filled up with all kinds of Asian delicacies and provided this to close friends and family.

1982

GROWING POPULARITY

In 1982 the very first container from Asia arrives, the beginning of a big change to come. Word of Mr Lien Van Chieu's business travelled fast and the growing repuatation called for a higher demand of Asian food products.

1990

NATIONAL EXPANSION

By 1990 A Chau Lien aquired it's first warehouse in a remote place called Kattarp. This was the stepping stone that would later enable growth from local to a national level.

2004

FURTHER GROWTH

In 2004, operations was relocated to a new more favorable and strategical site at the business hub of Helsingborg. From here, A Chau Lien began to implement inventory management systems to ensure additional development. This year also saw the official birth of our private label Twin DragonĀ®.Ā 

2014

THE RESULTS SPEAKS FOR THEMSELVES

Fastforward 10 years, in 2014 A Chau Lien was once again on the move. A warehouse 6 times the size of the current one was added to the portfolio. Heavy investment was made in to research and development to keep up with the ever increasing demand. Quality assurance becomes synonymous with our products, certifications are acquired for compliance.

A CHAU LIEN TODAY

What started out as a way to provide fellow Asians with familiar food products from the Far East quickly expanded into a flourishing business. Since 1981 A Chau Lien with Mr Lien Van Chieu, at the helm, has brought the authentic Asian kitchen into the homes across all of Scandinavia. Future generations have carried on the torch. A Chau Lien is fully dedicated to continue the journey that Mr Lien Van Chieu began many years ago and keep enriching and sharing the flavours of Asia.
